All of us already know that LIC has renewed its group medi claim policy for current year 2016-17 with New India as informed vide their circular dated 16.04.2016 resulting in approx 44 % increase in premium rates over last year 2015-16. This increase is on very high side.
I am sure that all Associations / Organisations for working staff /Pensioners will immediately take this issue with our Chairman that LIC must come forward to increase immediately basic or compulsory sum insured limit of Rs six lacs eligible for subsidy for either working in Class One Cadre or retiring from this cadre and much lower for other classes .
In present era of very costly treatment at all good hospitals, this six lacs limit is nothing but just a peanut only.
I am sure that the pensioners associations will do the needful in the matter.
