IBA have informed all the banks that
they have requested the United India Insurance Co. to allow a grace
period of three months to retirees who could not give their consent on
or before 31/10/2015 (last date for submission of consent letter to our
bank) to join the Scheme, subject to payment of full year premium by the
concerned retirees, which will be considered by them, at the specific
recommendations of the Bank and on the merit of each case.
In view of the above, we request all of you
to inform the above provision to all our colleagues who could not lodge
their consent letter to join the Scheme to submit their applications
within three months from 01/11/2015 by clarifying the reasons for not
submitting the consent letters to the Bank before the stipulated date
i.e. 31/10/2015.
