Referring to the post by Mr Tapas Kumar Datta, the in-service employees' Federations/Associations are in a better position to negotiate and bargain with the LIC Management than retirees' Federation for one more option for pension.
As things stand,the NPS that has come into vogue from 1/4/2010 may make things difficult for those who missed exercising the option earlier.
Retirees have only to fight in the courts for their legal rights than gracefully obtaining them through other channels.
