Dear Sir,

Re: SC Verdict dtd. 12th October 2015 in respect of Civil Appeal No.10251 of 2014- Asger Ibrahim Amin vs LIC of India

Please find enclosed the copy of the captioned verdict of the Supreme Court.

There have been many cases of resignations in the past of a similar nature, wherein employees of all classes have resigned as per regulation 19 of Staff Regulations 1960, prior to notification of pension Rules, 1995. In all such cases where employees have resigned and who had put in 20 years or more number of years’ service are eligible to get pension as per the captioned verdict.

Hence we appeal to your erudite self to re-open all such cases and take necessary steps to grant pension without waiting for the concerned retirees to apply for the same, thus implementing the captioned verdict to all those similarly placed and oblige.

Thanking you,
General Secretary, NOIP (BMS)
