There was also a typical case of Shri N.K.Jodhani, retired Officer, Rajkot having grievance of less payment of Leave Encashment in arrears of BP Settlement..

Therefore, a delegation consisting four Office Bearers of our Association met the Regional had last week and requested him to arrange for calculations and payment of these dues to the concerned retirees at the earliest. The Regional Head 0assured us to ensure all the payments before Diwali Festivals, (except that of Shri Jodhani, as his issue was referred to higher authorities for clarification). Accordingly HRA, CCA and Leave Encashment (except that of Shri Jodhani) are credited to the Savings Accounts of the retired employees / officers who were entitled for the same. Officiating Pay is calculated by RO and calculation sheets are sent to the branches for credits and hence may take one or two days more.

Those members of our Rajkot Region who have not received these dues may inform us by Letters or E-mails (not by telephones).

If these dues are unpaid to the members of our Association settled in the territories of the Bank's Surat or Baroda Regions, the Office Bearers / CC Members / Members are requested to pursue for the same with their respective Regional Offices.

For increase in Pension on account of higher Officiating Pay, the Branches / Regional Offices are supposed to send revised work sheets to the Terminal Benefits Division, Central Office. Then the concerned pensioners are supposed to get their revised Pension Payment Orders also. We shall have to pursue these matters hereafter.

For Officiating Pay, there is a confusion among some of our members. When an employee of clerical cadre is performing the duties of an Officer with the prior permission / instruction of the management and is working in the up-graded ID of Officers, the additional amount for which he is entitled is known as Officiating Pay.  If a Clerk or a Sub Staff is asked to work on any post attracting higher Special Pay / Allowance in clerical / sub staff cadre, the extra Pay / Allowance which he is expected to get is merely higher Special Pay / Allowance and not Officiating Pay. It is understood that the award staff has already got such difference earlier. However, if there is any specific case of non-payment, please write / e-mail to the Office Bearers of your area.

    With good wishes,
Yours sincerely,
B.G.Raithatha,
General Secretary
