A quick look at recent discussions

Shri B.Ganga Raju's sincere suggestions in his response to AIRIEF's
letter are worth considering. Necessary steps may be taken to clear
the organisational imbroglios, wrangles and misapprehensions.

The veterans by now know what is in the best interest of each and
every pensioner. May they play their vital role to the best of their
capacity to secure what Shri C.H. Mahadevan has summed up in the
scenario IV. A formula that could be applied to approximately to
arrive at an amount / figure that pensioners are likely to get as
"ordered " by the Hon. Justice Shri. Bhandari. The courts are of
course not interested in nitty-grittys of computation.

Shri Mahadevan has arrived at Rs.18.00 lakhs for a retired ADM with
basic pension of Rs.2525/- (1993 pay scale). It is an 'approximation'
of the entitlement/the amount due. A few thousands more or less.
Every one of us can make an 'approximation' of amount due to us
or as someone has said, better await, for the final outcome.

May be that 12% interest awarded by Punjab and Haryana High
Court is fresh on some pensioners' mind.

Pray that the Hon. Justices of the Apex Court would kindly uphold
the judgements of Rajasthan, Delhi, and Punjab & Haryana
High Courts.

As all are aware, there are a few positive decisions taken by GOI in
the recent past: going to implement the judgements of the Supreme
Court. OROP to military personnel and all 'eligible' pre 2006
pensioners and family pensioners to get 'enhanced' pension
retrospectively from 01-01-2006 instead of from 24-09-2012, a
prospective date.
