LIC Pensioner news

It is very true that LIC Pensioners Chronicle has been, in the recent past, carrying / posting more and more news about the ' happenings ' in case of bank employees and pensioners (Shri A.V. Subbaraman on 16-09-2014) as if the Chronicle is (as if it were) All Banks Pensioners Chronicle ! - sidetracking " it's own (LIC Pensioners- In) House" problems, the burning unresolved issues of updation of pension, dearness relief, family pension, ex gratia etc.

There is hardly any news of  'real interest -  to pensioners (of seventy plus in particular) in the PC for more than a month.

  • The last self-defeating, frustrating, deafening news item was that ' Tagged up case of pensioners to be heard in the Supreme Court on 12 August 2014 not on the list, not sighted on 8 th September 2014.
No one seems to know why the case which is reportedly for final hearing ere the final verdict of the Apex Court allowed to go into oblivion or into cold storage. Where and how the matter stands, Sir what has gone wrong with the Supreme Court functioning or for that matter why and what for the senior counsellors and seriously affected pensioners / petitioners not acting swiftly to see the clear and final verdict of on going legal battle / struggle of one and a half decade - many aged ailing and may be counting days as they are living conspicuously on the edge / on bonus life span. Those who matter and are worthy of taking action may knock the doors of Justice, move the matters fast with court registrar/authorities in all seriousness to secure ' an urgent / immediate date '. Many, why many, all the pensioners are awaiting/ would love to read the breaking news  about "LIC  Pensioners / Petitioners final date with the Supreme Court of India " in the next few days in the LIC Pensioners Chronicle.

There is no harm ( incidental to our pensioners but no harm as such, or not much harm) done by posting ' a few - articles regarding bank employees and pensioners in the LICPC. Frankly speaking, the pensioners of LIC and Banks are sailing in the same boat ( or similar boats) in as much as both are fighting against their establishments  in the Law Courts for updation of pension and 100 % dearness relief ,  a la parity with GOI.
